International SOS, as an assistance provider, delivers services through our global network of Assistance Centres and with the support of a Global Assistance Network. International SOS’ employees speak 99 languages and dialects across 26 Assistance Centres, more than 60 clinics and over 94 offices worldwide.
Our Assistance Centres are staffed with international doctors and multilingual operational experts who are available 24/7 for:
• Routine medical or security advice
• Emergency assistance
• Remote Country Medical Advisory
• Medical escort services
• VIP wellness hotline
• Translation services
• Medical repatriations or evacuations
• Repatriation of mortal remains
Our global case management system enables our doctors, security specialists and coordinators to monitor cases in real-time around the world. Information such as x-rays and scans can be attached and viewed from any International SOS Assistance Centre.
This global coordination ensures timely and appropriate care for members or patients, and provides organisations with continuity of service, helping to meet their Duty of Care requirements.
Air Ambulances
In-house team of flight doctors and nurses are ready to take off to assist members in the event of an emergency or crisis. The In-house aviation desk oversees all flight plan liaison and logistics.
We handle more than 500 air evacuations each year, 20 per cent of which are medical evacuations or repatriations delivered via air ambulances. One of our ten air ambulances is located in Dubai.
The Global Assistance Network
The Global Assistance Network is our proprietary network of service providers who can assist travellers and expatriates in almost any medical or safety situation.
We have a dedicated team in each Assistance Centre to manage this worldwide network of more than 81,000 accredited service providers. This team works closely with our medical and security specialists to review, audit, and accredit our network on a regular basis.
