INTEGRATING HEALTH AND SAFETY INTO SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING

Overview

The International SOS Foundation has designed a new virtual training course: "Sustainability Management & Reporting for the Occupational Health & Safety Practitioner."

As organisations focus on the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, occupational health & safety (OHS) has become a key area of importance, especially in regards to sustainability reporting.

This course provides occupational health & safety practitioners and sustainability specialists with the competence necessary to integrate workforce health & safety management and monitoring into their organisations' sustainability strategies.

 

Who should attend? 

OHS and sustainability practitioners, especially those who are tasked with investigating the place of OHS in sustainability management & reporting programmes or tasked with better inclusion of workforce measures in corporate responsibility management.

HR, security, and mobility managers who are responsible for protecting the health & safety of their employees will also be able to better align their programmes with their organisations' sustainability strategies.

Certification

Upon successful completion of a course, participants will be awarded a CPD accredited certificate.

 

 

Active learning

 

The training will take place in a live, virtual classroom where the trainer will guide participants through the subject in an interactive learning format. Participants will acquire the skills through pre-reading, discussions, analyses of example reports, and exercises. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions and discuss their real-life examples so that they can apply learnings in their work immediately after the training.

 

Trainer

This course will be facilitated by Louis Wustemann - writer and editor on environment and health and safety for 20 years. Former editor of Health and Safety at Work and IOSH Magazine with a strong interest in the place of occupational safety and health in sustainability management and reporting.
